Houston man confesses to killing Michelle Warner

Michelle Warner

UPDATED: Mark Castellano has been officially charged with the murder.

A man confessed to Houston detectives Sunday that he killed his ex-girlfriend who has been missing for more than a week.

Houston Police Department spokesperson Jodi Silva said Mark Castellano, 37, confessed to killing Michelle Warner, his ex-girlfriend and the mother of his 3-year-old son.

Silva said Castellano confessed he killed Warner after they got into a heated argument at their home in Sharpstown.

Castellano directed the investigators to the body in an oil field between Odessa and Midland, according to the Houston Chronicle.

Investigators still have to confirm the identity of the body and the district attorney’s office is preparing murder charges against Castellano.

This is a sad story. Unfortunately, domestic violence is widespread and oftentimes passes unnoticed. My thoughts and prayers go to her son, who lost his mother as such a young age.

Sadly, too many women become unwilling victims of domestic violence in our society today. It has reached epidemic levels. I think boys need to be taught anger-management in school, and men should take seminars together on a regular basis. Women and girls need to be taught of the warning signs of abuse, how to escape abuse, and most importantly, how to avoid getting into an abusive relationships from the get go. However, no matter how bad a relationship ends, it should never result in the loss of life.

This is just terrible. It’s really sad that things like this happen so often. It always makes me sad that we can’t prevent more of these events from happening.

This is a sad story of domestic violence and my heart goes out to the family. A good thing for you to do as a blogger, though, is make it relatable to your readership to add a unique point of view to this sad story.

This is yet another sad case of people not being able to handle their anger and an innocent life is lost. My prayers go out to all parties involved, especially the young child who in a matter of seconds has lost both of his parents.

Tell me what you think.
